Car burglary ring foiled after crook asks deputy for wallet back

first_imgLOST HILLS – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspected car burglar today after he showed up at the station seeking the wallet he left in among recovered stolen goods.. A pair of Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies on patrol early Saturday spotted a car in Calabasas Park with a man inside wearing gloves and surrounded by what looked like stolen material. After arresting him on suspicion of burglary around 6 a.m., they found a wallet among the loot they believe belonged to one of his partners in crime. Three hours later, the partner walked into the Malibu-Lost Hills station, demanding the return of his dough. “Thank God they’re not smart,” chuckled Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Chew. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong. Please try again.subscribeCongratulations! You’re all set!
