On January 5, Indiana University honored the 1976 undefeated NCAA Championship Hoosiers. They are the only Division 1 team to accomplish this feat. Local IU alum, Glen Butte, was able to attend this celebration evening. Glen played for IU after his graduation from Milan in 1956. He was a member of the ’54 state championship team as a sophomore.On a sadder note, Bobby Engle, who was a senior on the ’54 championship team passed away at the age of 79. He is the first senior member of the ’54 championship team to pass away. Bobby was living in Traverse City, Michigan.
